Zimbaseed (Pvt) Ltd is launching in Zimbabwe in 2022 following the success of the Farmers Assessment Programme, a season long project where 250 Farmers were given the opportunity to grow ZMS623, a leading drought and disease resistant variety, in return for feedback. Applicants will stand the chance to win a tractor amongst other prizes.
A gap in the Agricultural market for a high yielding variety that can withstand weather and infection is evident, tough farming conditions for farmers nationwide allow Zimbaseed to enter with a strong contestant to “Zimbabwe’s favourite farming variety” – ZMS623. For some areas of Zimbabwe testing and assessments have shown positive results with their second variety ZMS405 which will hopefully be released in time for the 2022 season.
It is of high importance that Zimbaseed also utilises modern methods of communication with their farmers, creating an informative, interactive and advanced way of farming in Zimbabwe. Providing easy access to agronomist advice as well as supporting farmers in the success of their agricultural endeavours. Through these efforts Zimbaseed expect a positive welcome to the market in 2022.
